Mobile First and responsive design

I offer mobile versions and or a responsive site design as a rule not a option. Responsive site design simply means your web site will automatically scale to the device the person is using when they visit. For example Jane goes to your site on her Android phone..Your site will look great on Jane’s Android..or iPhone or iPad or?? nice right.. Contact me for more information.

WordPress site re-design

As a WordPress developer, I work best when you provide me with  a comprehensive list of customizations you want made. For new sites or redesigns, I will find the best overall design and when approved by you I can begin the process. In finding the new design I go back and forth with you submitting ideas until we arrive at our final choice. I build your WordPress site on my development server. When it’s finished, I move all the files to your server and make sure all is in place and working correctly.

StudioPress Theme Modification general premium theme Mods

Pick a StudioPress Theme for WordPress and provide me with a detailed list of modifications you’d like to make to it. This is a good option if you like the basic look and organization of a theme but want to tweak it just a bit. If you have a premium theme I can help..I can also recommend the best premium theme for you and start a modification. This is a great way to save $ and still have a great professional site.

WordPress Admin Customization and Branding
I now do extensive admin area customization. I can brand the site for you or you company or organization. I do not use plugins to do this. I can do it directly for better performance. I can however use a plugin if its one you have and want to use to save some money in fees to do this..I also do extensive CSS mods to the admin area..and more..Lets talk about how you want wordpress to look inside!

WordPress Membership sites
A new and growing area in WordPress is a custom membership system. I now offer several ways to accomplish this. It is a great way to monetize your site or to offer a private club for your company or organization. I use plugins and I can do direct hard code customization in this area..Many of the plugins I use or recommend are premium based and do require additional money but not as much as you would think and well worth it.

The Mail chimp system is the best for mass mails to contacts or product offerings and general news information. Inside your mail chimp account you can create and manage lists and campaigns..I can help you learn the system and tie it to wordpress or any web site I also can tie it to your facebook account.

Services beyond WordPress

Get me out of wordpress! ( yes some people want out and/or do not need wordpress..

I recommend the next best thing or better..Yes there is better..The Expression Engine for example..Or a Ruby based CMS like Fuel or Refinery..Radient CMS. Powerful options that scale fast like Drupal..  I have new found respect for Drupal now as I am more experienced. A powerful CMS solution that can handle the largest sites..and still  open source and free..The expression Engine is a fee based CMS but well worth it..With a few different price points from commercial to non-profit really the EE is not that expensive for what we all get and it is getting better. There are so many Content management systems today.. to not have your site in even a simple one is not getting the full potential out of it..if all you do is a few minor text updates it is still the way to go..

For online Hosted Solutions.. I  currently recommend Adobe Business catalyst ..Also there are smaller CMS systems that are inexpensive..but pack a huge feature set for smaller sites..

Like Perch.. I like perch and you will too.. I also can talk to you about a simple valid Html/CSS site using HTML5 and CSS3..

If necessary I do have several Flash sites that are pre-built and ready for custom graphics and more..Flash is a bit on the outs..but many people like it and sometimes it has a place for sure..I also can and will add mobile capability to any site in most cases I include it in some cases it is extra.. It depends..Mobile can be a tricky addition..In the end the site I built will scale to iphones androids blackberries and Ipads and small deceives in general. I will provide a list of devices it will work on and I either write media queries or I use a mobile template.

Magento E-commerce           Magento Site

I do install and configure and customize Magento..It is the most powerful stand alone solution for anyone who wants to

build a online shop or e-commerce site..This is enterprise level software and if your concept is not large enough I will not take advantage of that..I would than consult you to go with a strong wordpress shop. Magento is for the most robust online shops that require the most function and scale to any size under any amount of traffic. It is a expensive direction so reserved for the larger ideas..I also do require a second developer in most cases ..Contact me for more information at the very least I can be a source of consultation on finding out if Magento is for you. One Hour of consultation is about all it would be to help you find out if your company or you as a individual requires Magento. Be careful Magento is now not supported by Varian for the free version at least not officially..Support only is gained through the community.. The real magento is now a yearly fee and for serious e-commerece only and I do not work on the un-supported free version any longer.

I do love WordPress it is very powerful and I am basically a advanced WordPress developer..There are people who know more yes..I do not know it all..I do know a lot and can recommend this CMS to almost anyone and I do customization on a level that few care to go..I can make wordpress your very own branded site..in admin and login and everywhere else..Or I can leave it stock..Its up to you..
